Ultimate Elvis Concert’ coming to Daphne on March 2

Elvis Presley performed in Mobile first as an unknown. Then, later, as a known. And finally, as a superstar.

The early Elvis even dined at the Blue Gill Restaurant on the Mobile Bay Causeway when it was famously in a tilting houseboat. An Elvis booth is enshrined to him even now. You can eat where Elvis ate.

It is not known that Elvis ever went to Daphne. (Some Daphne Baby Boomers can correct me if I’m wrong.)

Well, the “Ultimate Elvis Concert” is coming to the Daphne Civic Center on Saturday, March 2 at 7 p.m.

The event is described as: “Elvis In Concert is an unrivaled multimedia production of The King of Rock n’ Roll’s Career! Starring internationally acclaimed World Champion Elvis Tribute Artist Cote Deonath & David Lee backed by The Infinit-E Tribute Band. Taking you through the eras the ’50s, the movies, the ’68 comeback, and the 1970 Vegas years!”

Details and ticket info are here.

Here’s an idea: I am going to suggest that the TWO Elvis tribute artists who come to Alabama on March 2 call the Blue Gill Restaurant, get reservations, and go dine in the Elvis booth. If this is to be an authentic Elvis tribute, then they need to do this and go eat where Elvis ate. And I want to get a photo of a tribute to Elvis in the old Elvis booth.

Welcome to Alabama, Elvis singers and tribute band.
